We didn’t know that angels walked among us until God pointed them out. Some dressed in uniform, first responders, who laid siege to danger and said to us be safe. Medical personnel — skilled, dedicated and confident — welcomed the injured and strangers ran to help, their compassion overcoming fear.
We didn’t know that angels walked among us until God pointed them out, innocents that viewed life with one eye on earth and the other on heaven. The victims of evil, they prevailed as the embodiment of joy, love and hope. Their smiles and lives recalled by loved ones moved our hearts beyond what tentacles of malice sought to annihilate.
With gratitude to those who served and those who suffered and overcame. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
