It’s time to gather apples. I look forward to apple crisp, sauce, pie and dumplings. It makes me wonder, though, how my personal harvest looks this year. Jesus encourages us to bear fruit — fruit that lasts. In the familiar parable of the three servants (Matthew 25:14-30), I most closely resemble the third, who hid his coin and hoped for the best. How have I faced my personal impossible? It’s my prayer that between last year’s harvest and this, I’ve listened and invested with faith and courage.
