The other day, I attempted to enter some information in a computer table. It’s something I’ve done many times before, and it doesn’t require me to think. Or does it. I select the copy icon, change the date and adjust the figures for the current report, replicating the work of a predecessor. This time the figures refused to balance until I truly understood the process.
My church is filled with awe-inspiring art and music and my life with spiritual opportunity. Yet, I’m often content with worship-by-rote, a sitter-in-the-seat and my mind elsewhere. This Advent, I challenge myself to explore holy mysteries and fortify my understanding as I follow the star to Jesus.
